The students collected items of basic necessities as a voluntary drive for donating to 'PRAYAS', an orphanage for girl child. Prayas is a NGO which helps in nurturing the young girls to a wholesome life.

The students learnt the value of compassion and kindness in their life while bringing a smile to the faces of the young girls, with them playing a perfect Santa Claus for the residents of the orphanage.

Dussehra Celebration 2012

The day started on an auspicious note with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra by the students of the school. The air was reverberating with the sounds of the chants. Students were eager for the day to start as it was packed with many activities for them.

The students of Class VI to VIII presented a play depicting the story of Ramayana. It was much appreciated by all the students, from the tiny-tots of the montessori section to the Class VIII students. The audience was left in splits by the antics of Hanuman, played by Sahil (VI), in the Ashok Vatika. The pathos of Sita were enacted beautifully by Nandini (VI). Ishan and Shomanshu (VI) looked handsome as Lord Rama and  Laxmana. Manan (VII) as Ravana was the crowd's darling.

After the burning of the effigy of Ravana by Lord Rama, symbolising the ascendancy of Good over Evil, students proceeded towards their classes where more fun-filled activities awaited them.

The tiny tots of Montessori made finger puppets of Ravana as takeaways. The young ones had come dressed as the characters of Ramayana and spread happiness in the campus with their smiles.

The students of Class I and II enjoyed making a collage on Dussehra which helped them to understand and learn about the relevance of Dussehra in the present age.

Students of Class III made masks illustrating the characters of Ramayana. It was a wonderful exposure to students to both the art of mask making and values to be imbibed.

Students of Classes IV to VI had a poster making competition where they let go of their imagination to capture their dreams. Class VII and VIII had a jingle making competition where in beautiful rhyming poems were created by the aspiring poets.
